GENERAL MEMBERSHIP:

To become a general member of this Association, an individual must meet at least one of the following requirements:

(i) Complete a course of study for paralegals at an accredited institution;

(ii) Be a graduate of an ABA approved paralegal program;

(iii) Have a bachelor's degree and one year of paralegal experience as certified by an employer;

(iv) Have two years of paralegal experience as certified by attestation of supervising partner; or

(v) Be a Certified Legal Assistant (CLA), Certified Paralegal (CP), North Carolina Certified Paralegal, or Registered Paralegal.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: 
The Association is open to any individual who does not meet the requirements for general membership, but is interested in the Association. An Associate member may participate in teh organization as a full voting member, except in regard to holding an office, amendments to byloaw or expulsion of a mbmer or removal of an officer. An associate member may serve on any committee. A paralegal student may participate in this Association as an Associate member.

MEMBERSHIP YEAR:
Our membership year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.  Dues are prorated by quarter, so individuals joining after October 1 pay reduced membership dues.
